It has FINALLY happened! Our blog is the new official website for Midwest Yarn. Domain servers have been switched, but what does that mean for you?
- Our independently hosted e-commerce site is no more. All online transactions will take place via our Etsy.com store in the future. It would allow me to spend much less time working on the website and much more time on yarn. There are future plans to develop a better website, but we’ll keep things as they are for now.
- Updates on day to day information for the shop will be easier as well. It’ll allow me to keep in touch with customers much more closely, which is always a good thing.
- You all can see what we’re up to, all in one spot. There’s a widget on the right hand side of all pages that is a link to my Twitter and Instagram accounts. On both, I keep in touch with followers and share the projects I’m working on.
Indiegogo Campaign Update
As of today, we are at $1,470 funded (a little less than 15%). It’s a long way from the reach for the stars goal, but with the flexible funding option for our campaign, we will be funded no matter what. Plans are in the works as to how to budget what we do actually receive in the end, but we are pushing hard to reach that $10,000 goal. It would mean being able to start wholesale of our yarn line and attending the National Needle Arts Association convention as a wholesaler next year. Make sure you contribute if you can and share the project with everyone! Our little yarn shop is getting bigger by the day. 🙂
I’m working on a few other secret projects for the shop, one of which will be announced in a few days. Stay tuned
